Food and Fitness Day Schedule

  • Wear comfortable athletic shoes and socks

  • Stay in the marked course on the field
  • Listen to your teachers, and finally…
  • WALK, do not run, throughout the Walk-a-Thon course. We want you to be safe and have fun!
Feb 072017

Liholiho Warriors, get your walking shoes ready! The Liholiho Warriors Walk-a-Thon will be held on our Food and Fitness day, February 15, 2017. This is your chance to get fit and have fun with your friends. 100% of the funds students raise will go directly to the school PTA to benefit our students.

The walk-a-thon will take place at Liholiho Elementary during school hours in conjunction with the school’s Food and Fitness Day events on Wednesday, February 15th. Participation is free and students will walk with their classmates during their designated walk-a-thon time period. Families are welcome to come and cheer on the walkers throughout the day.

Our goal this year is to raise $40,000! That is a BIG number, but with your support, the Liholiho Warriors can achieve anything! With our fundraising efforts earlier this school year, we were able to raise approximately $21,000. If each student is able to collect $75 in donations, we will be able to reach our $40,000 goal.

A packet with more information was sent home with your child. Here’s a copy if you can’t find yours: 2017 Liholiho Warriors Walk-a-Thon

Just a reminder that the early sign up for the Keiki Great Aloha Run is “before January 28”, which means by midnight tonight, January 27. (You can still sign up afterwards, but the registration fee goes up.) Sign up is online here: www.flpregister.com/236.

Please don’t forget to designate Liholiho as the school to support. By doing so, the Keiki Great Aloha Run will donate $15 from each Keiki or Adult registration back to Liholiho’s PE program! And after you sign up, return bottom portion of flyer to your child’s teacher or school office. Please see flyer for more info, including info on packet distribution.
