We have 2 flyers this morning. One is “How Boundaries Can improve Kid’s Success at School” presented by Common Grace. This workshop will assist parents and guardians with creating clear and consistent boundaries for your child, which in turn will help them succeed in school. Please fill out the form and return by Mon., Mar. 4 if you are interested in attending.
The next flyer is a drive put on by the Liholiho Student Council to collect 500 toilet paper rolls to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. The collection runs from Feb. 25 to Mar. 13. Mahalo for your support!
The Liholiho Laulima March General Membership meeting is upon us! We’ll be taking care of PTA business and we will also be treated to wonderful performances from Mrs. Arakaki’s and Mrs. Wong’s Kindergarten classes!
Bento pre-order flyers will be posted next week. In the meantime, please fill out and return the attached form if you are able to assist us with setup and cleanup of the event! We LOVE volunteers! Thank you!
Isn’t it amazing how wonderful the garden beds look on campus? The sunflowers are just so beautiful! We’d like to continue enhancing the lovely area on Tue. Feb. 26 from 2:30 — 4:00P.
- Harvest, compost and mulch the ‘AINA IS garden beds
- Turn the compost piles
- Build an outdoor garden hale
- Light snacks and water will be provided (Please bring your own water bottles)
Items to bring:
- Tools labeled with your name: shovel, bucket, hard rake, and wheelbarrow (if you have them)
- Closed-toe shoes, hat, clothes that can get dirty, gloves
- Sunscreen (we will be working out in the sun!)

Just a friendly reminder, today is the last day to submit “Pencilgrams” to teachers, staff, and friends! Pencilgrams are a Valentine’s note with a Valentine’s pencil attached to it! They only cost $0.25 for each pencilgram and they will be delivered to classrooms on Wed., Feb. 13! All proceeds support the Hawaiian Humane Society AND the Student Council will match ALL profits and double the donation amount!
If you’d like to send out a pencilgram, please visit the library during morning recess and afterschool (2:15 — 2:45)! Thank you and have a great Valentine’s day!
As a way for the PTA to help raise funds for the school, we will be selling the Liholiho Super Coupon Book this month. The proceeds from the fundraiser will help Liholiho’s literacy, physical education and arts program, as well as help defray the costs from the newly installed playground equipment that the students ALL LOVE!
