Hope you’re enjoy­ing the week­end! Since 5th graders were not able to make the Fri­day dead­line for War­rior Run Pledge Forms, please turn in all forms by Mon­day March 5.

Don’t for­get that this com­ing week is the Book Fair. Thurs­day March 8 is Book Fair Night / PTA March Gen­er­al Mem­ber­ship Meet­ing, and 4th and 5th grade stu­dents are per­form­ing!

Thank you to every­one who came out to beach clean-up this morn­ing! We had a great turnout and col­lect­ed a lot of trash!

I’m shar­ing a mes­sage below from the Hawaii State PTSA about an upcom­ing event for stu­dents of PTA mem­bers:

The Hawaii State PTSA has teamed up with the Microsoft Store at Ala Moana Cen­ter (Oahu) to bring our kei­ki an amaz­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty over the upcom­ing Mar­tin Luther King Jr. week­end (Jan­u­ary 12th -15th). Stu­dents in grades K-12 can sign up to cre­ate “I Have a Dream” inspired dig­i­tal paint­ings. This event is open to PTA/PTSA mem­bers or stu­dents of PTA/PTSA mem­bers. (If you are not sure if you have signed up yet for your 2017–2018 mem­ber­ship, please check with your local PTA/PTSA unit or email our state office at histateptsa@gmail.com.) Please be advised that seat­ing is lim­it­ed to the first 12 stu­dents for each time slot, with a wait list for addi­tion­al stu­dents. No expe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary.

Just pass­ing along infor­ma­tion here about a Lego® event / Sum­mer Read­ing Pro­gram. This is from Play-Well TEKnolo­gies:

We want­ed to invite you and Liholi­ho Ele­men­tary fam­i­lies to a FREE event where we will be build­ing Hon­olu­lu out of 20,000 LEGO® Bricks. The event is being held on Sat­ur­day, June 3rd from 10 AM — 1 PM at the Hawaii State Pub­lic Library. It is part of the kick-off to the Hawaii State Pub­lic Library’s Sum­mer Read­ing Pro­gram. Fam­i­lies will get the oppor­tu­ni­ty to build the City of Hon­olu­lu as they would like to see it.
