Tuesday is Tourist Tuesday. “Where would you visit? Dress up in your best tourist attire.”

Thursday is Mixed-Up, Wacky Thursday. “Wear your clothes backwards, mix and match, or inside out. Be as wacky as you can be!”
Friday is Warrior Wow Day. “Show you Liholiho Warrior pride and wear your Liholiho shirt or school colors. See you at our WOW assembly!”
After all the excitement at the Keiki Fun Run and all the calories consumed at the Liholiho Fun Fair, what better way to raise money and fitness levels by participating in the Hapalua Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday, Apr. 13 at 6:00AM!
When registering for the Hapalua through Crowdrise (a community fundraising site), you will only pay $20 (plus a $2.50 fee) in registration fees! WOW!! Currently, registration is $117! That is an 83% savings! All we ask is for you to raise at least $30 for our Liholiho PTA team! It is a win-win situation!!
Here are the 5 simple steps you need to take if you are interested:
1. Register on Crowdrise through our fundraising page: http://www.crowdrise.com/liholiholaulimapta (click on “Join The Team”)
2. Raise money for the event! Collect at least $30, either through the Crowdrise website in your name or physically collecting from families and friends and turning it in to your child’s teacher in an envelope marked “Hapalua”!
3. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org when you have reached the $30 goal and you will receive your discount code.
4. Go to http://thehapalua.com and register for the race with your discount code.
5. Start training NOW!!
If you have ANY questions, comments, concerns, etc., please email email@example.com. Thank you!

To all the parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents, neighbors, etc.
Thank you very much for helping us make the Liholiho PTA Fun Fair the success that it was on Saturday! Without your help, we could not have pulled this off!
We are fortunate to have such wonderful parents and volunteers assist the us with the setup and clean up of the Fair! All the brains and brawns on this campus would give MENSA and any NFL football team a run for their money! Thank you so much again, we could not have done any of this without you!
We would like to thank the students also for convincing/dragging/forcing their parents to give up their Saturday to come to our Fun Fair! The money you spent at the fair as well as the very generous drink donations will help support Liholiho with equipment upgrades, campus maintenance, and part-time teachers’ salaries!
We’d also like to thank the teachers for their hard work on the games and the staff for their support and assistance behind the scenes! They both played a vital part in this fair!
If you enjoyed this event and would like to assist us with future events, please contact us and join our PTA board! We are looking for people to fill seats that will be vacated at the end of this year.
One last thing is that if you’d like to share pictures of the event, you could post your pictures on Instagram or Facebook (make sure that pictures are made “Public”) and use #LiholihoFunFair!! Since Derek and I were running around, we missed a lot of the smiling and happy faces of families and we would LOVE to see many more pictures!! I’m sure other families would appreciate it as well!
Oh, and here are some links to the view some video footage from KITV (Thank you Lynn N.)!
And I’m so sorry.. one last item.. I promise! We have created a follow up survey about this year’s Fun Fair and we would appreciate it if you could fill it out and tell us your thoughts about what was great and what wasn’t great. You can find the survey here:
Many thanks and our deepest gratitude to you all,
Derek and Lawrence
Liholiho Elementary was well represented today on both KITV and KHON morning news! They talked about the garden and the fun fair! If anyone has a link to the newscast, please let me know and I’ll be sure to post it. In the meantime, we have these great pictures!
Only 2 days remain before the Liholiho PTA Fun Fair and we hope you are as excited as we are!
Thank you very much to all the families who have submitted their volunteer forms. You should be receiving volunteer information in today’s or tomorrow’s folder. Parking, check-in time, and other important information will be included in the form. If you haven’t received it by tomorrow or have questions, please feel free to contact us.
We would also like to thank all the families that have dropped off drinks for the fair so far! The support has been phenomenal and without your support, this fair for the students, families, and community would not be successful! Thank you very much!
Iris Stremick and I (Lawrence) will once again be at the parking bays tomorrow morning to work the drink drop off. Thank you!
Also, Derek and some Liholiho students will be on air tomorrow morning on TV. Be sure to catch them around 5:45AM on KITV and 6:50AM on KHON!!
Thank you to all the parents and students who dropped off bottled water and juice donation at the parking bays this morning! It was great seeing everyone and we appreciate the money and time spent to help make this fair fun for everyone and help fund our school improvements!
Derek and I (Lawrence) will be at the parking bays again tomorrow morning between the hours of 7:00A — 7:45A. If you cannot decide between donating juice, soda, or water, we are looking for some more juice and soda donations! But don’t get us wrong, we’d still love your bottled water donations and will not turn you away!
If you aren’t able to make it tomorrow, we’ll be out in the bays on Friday morning as well during the same time!
Thank you very much!
