A BIG MAHALO and Spe­cial Thanks goes out to Ms. Cathy Dil­lon, a com­mu­ni­ty mem­ber who used the www.helphawaiischools.com web­site to see the goods and sup­plies that Liholi­ho need­ed. She so gen­er­ous­ly donat­ed the fol­low­ing items:

  • two 500-count box­es of Ziplock bags
  • two 4-packs of Clorox wipes
  • two 12-packs of Kleenex box­es
  • two 100-count box­es of 33 gal­lon trash bags
  • one 8-pack of paper tow­els…

Ms.Dillon is tru­ly appre­ci­at­ed by the Liholi­ho teach­ers, staff, and stu­dents who will make use of her dona­tions.

This is just a friend­ly reminder that Dr. Art Cos­ta will be pre­sent­ing his Habits of Mind in the library tomor­row Wed., Dec. 5th between 6:30P — 7:30P.  If you also signed up for the spaghet­ti din­ner, this will be held in the cafe­te­ria between 5:15P — 6:00P.

Food Day is a nation­wide cel­e­bra­tion and a move­ment for healthy, afford­able, and sus­tain­able food. To cel­e­brate Food Day (which is offi­cial­ly Octo­ber 24), Liholi­ho is host­ing a Food & Fit­ness Fair for stu­dents and their fam­i­lies on Fri­day, Octo­ber 19, 2012. The goals were 1) to intro­duce stu­dents to a vari­ety of veg­eta­bles and teach par­ents var­i­ous ways of prepar­ing them 2) to encour­age active lifestyles and fun ways to grow strong and healthy kids and fam­i­lies. It was a great suc­cess.
